Iceland possesses two extraordinary, distinct brown trout strains: the massive migratory Sea-Run Browns of the South Coast (at Battle Hill) and the ancient, giant resident "Ice-Age" Browns of Lake Thingvallavatn. Both offer legendary fighting endurance and reach weights rarely seen anywhere else on the globe.
